Description: Joyce Alonso, Education Co-chair of the Spokane Audubon will give an exciting presentation all about the birds we may see in our backyard, neighborhoods, local parks, and forests. Plus she has engaging activities to help us explore the fascinating fowl all around us. Come prepared with questions about who you have seen lately out your windows!

Ages: Joyce has designed the content of this presentation for kids in grades 3-6. All kids are welcome as long as they can be quietly attentive.

Cost: free

Tour limits: 40 kids

Registration: Send an email to ExploringFamilies@gmail.com that includes the number of kids and each of their ages, the number of adults, and your phone number(s) by April 10. Joyce wants to be adequately prepared by knowing the ages of her audience. If your registration request has been received, then Exploring Families will send an email back to you confirming whether there is space for your family or not. If the tour/trip/event is full, Exploring Families will email back to you to let you know you are on the wait list. If you don’t get an email back from Exploring Families about that tour/trip/event, then assume there has been an email glitch and Exploring Families didn’t get your first tour/trip/event request. Please resend your email or call Kelly Clark at Exploring Families at 509-999-7614. If you don’t get a confirmation back from Exploring Families, please don’t just show up.

What to do the day of the trip: Check out the website (www.exploringfamilies.wordpress.com) or Twitter Tweets (@ExploringFamily) for any last minute changes or details from our tour host.

Cancellation: Please contact Kelly Clark at Exploring Families (exploringFamilies@gmail.com or 509-999-7614) as soon as you can if you have to cancel. There is usually a waiting list of families wanting to participate. Or we may have to cancel the tour/trip/event if we cannot meet the minimum number of required students.

Please send a Thank You letter, after our visit, to Joyce Alonso, Spokane Audubon, P.O. Box 9820, Spokane, WA 99209-9820
