Description: Come learn about:

what environmental geology is

what an environmental geologist does for a company that provides a full range of environmental services to both the private and public sectors. Find out Christina’s science and math skills help her in her job dealing with hazardous and non-hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation and abatement.

The Society of Inland Northwest Environmental Scientists and all the types of scientists who work around us to make our area a safe and better place to live.

Ages: All kids who can be quiet and attentive are welcome. The presentation will be geared towards kids in grades 1 – 12.

Cost: free

Tour limits: 100 people

Registration: Send an email to ExploringFamilies@gmail.com that includes the number of kids and your phone number(s) by May 5. If your registration request has been received, then Exploring Families will send an email back to you confirming whether there is space for your family or not. If the tour/trip/event is full, Exploring Families will email back to you to let you know you are on the wait list. If you don’t get an email back from Exploring Families about that tour/trip/event, then assume there has been an email glitch and Exploring Families didn’t get your first tour/trip/event request. Please resend your email or call Kelly Clark at Exploring Families at 509-999-7614. If you don’t get a confirmation back from Exploring Families, please don’t just show up.

Cancellation Policy: Please contact Kelly Clark at Exploring Families (exploringFamilies@gmail.com or 509-999-7614) as soon as you can if you have to cancel. There is usually a waiting list of families wanting to participate. Or we may have to cancel the tour/trip/event if we cannot meet the minimum number of required students.
